Consultants, a definition

A cracking quote from a client:

A consultant is someone who in exchange for your watch will tell you the time

Being a consultant right now I’m not sure whether or not to be offended…

You might have to ask if the watch happens to be in binary (http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/products/front/ledbinarywatch.jpg). In that case, the consultant may be worth it! :)

Laugh, and them told them how much money they wasted telling you that joke.

Actually, the best definition is still on this page:

Are you a prostitute or a software consultant?

I prefer to refer to myself as an insultant.

Fabian – awesome link.

Check out this great post from Bruce Eckel on consulting :

My favourite: a consultant is someone who, at great expense, shows you the way forward in difficult times by building a tunnel. Just when you see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, he builds more tunnel.
