New design live

Yet again boredom got the better of me, and I’ve spent this last weekend working on a new site design. There are still a couple of minor IE6 problems to sort, but it seems fine on Firefox and Safari. The main change is that I’m now doing much less with the sidebar in an attempt to give a nicer minimal feel. I’m going to continue to work on some pages – I want to tailor the individual post pages to those coming from search engines, and might flesh-out the content there to display information such as recent and popular posts.

Anyway, I’d appreciate it if you’d let me know of any problems. Just a note – I don’t really care about supporting anything other than IE 6+, Firefox, Camino and Safari (the modern browsers basically) but will make minor changes to work with other browsers as long as it’s not a major pain. The site should degrade gracefully in text-only browsers, but I haven’t checked that yet. So let me know what you think…

I saw your post about dynamically changing the CSS to the print CSS on alistapart.com . Do you have any ideas when your full article might be available?
